What is a Hybrid Mom?
If you have ever:
…owned a purse that functions as a diaper bag, laptop case, tote and/or contains both a cell phone and some stray Cheerios
… prayed that your mute button is not broken while on a conference call
…had a great idea for a business, but no clue what to do with it
… worked from a local coffeehouse to have more peace and quiet than at the home office
…had to make the choice between a big meeting and a little league game
…thought “balance” is overrated, yet strived for some form of it each day.
Then now is the time to declare yourself. For you my friend, are a Hybrid Mom!
From Entrepreneurs to Executives. From Bloggers to Volunteers. From Consultants to Students. We Hybrid Moms are everywhere – and we are actively pursuing our personal and professional goals on terms that still allow us a fulfilling family life. We are strong. We are resourceful. We are ambitious. And now, we are one.

We are committed to helping each Mom nurture her own ambitions, in a world where so much is demanded of her. We understand her needs. We believe in her ability. We see her potential. We proudly provide her the inspiration, tools, and opportunity she needs to succeed.

Beth Smith
Beth Smith currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of hybridmom.com. She joined Hybrid Mom in 2006 and was instrumental in launching the premiere issue of Hybrid Mom magazine in early 2007. The highlight of her job has been profiling moms who have managed all sorts of creative ways to blend work, life and family—and providing tips on how others can do the same. In January of 2010, Hybrid Mom made the bold move to focus efforts solely on digital media. This change has allowed Beth to maintain up to the minute updates to editorial content while reaching a wider audience. Beth enjoys discovering new writers, bloggers and content providers that augment the mission statement of Hybrid Mom. She lives on Long Island with her husband of 16 years, her 9-year-old daughter Jenna, and a rather annoying Yorkie Poo that loves to interrupt her writing with (a lot) of barking. Maureen Dempsey

She joined the staff after serving as executive editor at YourTango.com, a relationships web site. Maureen has also held editorial positions at Vogue, Marie Claire, and Shop Etc. magazines. Aside from writing and editing, she spends far too much time obsessing over her two-year-old daughter, Clemens, with her husband in New York. Contact Maureen at maureen@hybridmom.com
Allison Rubin
Allison Rubin is the Managing Editor of hybridmom.com. She joined the company in 2008 as a Consulting Group Director, working with members to understand their business needs and help facilitate the solutions to grow their companies. In 2009 Allison became a part of the editorial team where she currently maintains various content relationships in hopes of bringing relevant, supportive and entertaining content to Hybrid Mom readers. When not working on Hybrid Mom, Allison is busy being a hybrid mom to her 3 children, Michael, Ashley and Trevor, with her husband in New York. Contact Allison at allison@hybridmom.com
Cari Vaughn
HybridMom.com's style editor, Cari Vaughn, reminds her girlfriends everyday, “the key to looking and feeling good is exuding self-confidence--not the latest $100 jeans. Looking good and feeling clean from the inside out stems from envisioning your ideal life and creating it.” Though with a crazy household--a high-energy photographer husband ( joevaughn.com) and 3 phenomenal boys (ages 13, 11, and 2 ), Cari does admit "a good therapist, the right concealer ( Dermablend) and a semi-consistent eyebrow arch does help in the never ending process of keeping it all together.” Read more at thehipmom.com
