The number one thing that I, as a Mom and chief family organizer, keenly feel the lack of, is Time. As a result you'll often see me scrambling about to keep track of appointments, play dates, birthday parties, sports and other family activities, not to mention the challenges of coordinating home and work schedules. Hubby has some things jotted down in his Blackberry, I have mine in organizers, sticky notes, scraps of papers, notepads, wall calendars and so on and so forth. It can quickly get hectic without a central place to organize, coordinate and keep track of so many important household details. In fact, in a recent survey conducted by Cozi, 40% of the 4,169 households surveyed admitted to using sticky notes to manage their family activities!

Cozi now has a mobile version especially for the iPhone and Windows Mobile phones. Families can now sign-in and access their Cozi account using their mobile web browsers. They can add and edit shopping lists and view and edit their family calendar using the mobile version of Cozi right from their iPhone. This is a new feature! Being a bookworm, I'm always interested to see how books translate into movies, especially those stories which are a superhit in their book format. The New Year is almost upon us and the one movie I'm really looking forward to seeing is Brendan Fraser's new film,
Inkheart which is based on the best selling trilogy by Cornelia Funke.
Inkheart is a family-friendly fantasty adventure that sends a father and daughter on a quest through worlds both real and imagined.
It's in theaters nationwide on January 23th. Brendan Fraser is also a fave actor of mine and as such I'm eager to see how this book translates on-screen. It promises to be fun-filled fantasy adventure for all ages.
About the Book: One cruel night, Meggie's father, Mo, reads aloud from INKHEART, and an evil ruler named Capricorn escapes the boundaries of fiction, landing instead in their living room. Suddenly, Meggie's in the middle of the kind of adventure she thought only took place in fairy tales. Somehow she must master the magic that has conjured up this nightmare. Can she change the course of the story that has changed her life forever?
Inkheart is the first book in the trilogy, followed by
Inkspell and
InkDeath.
