As a mother and an art teacher, Decorative Artist Meredith Toto thoroughly enjoys working with children. Meredith began her career as a decorative artist working for an art studio in Manhattan. She painted decorative and faux finishes for elite commercial clients including Cartier, Vanity Fair, and FAO Schwartz, and her work for a playroom has been featured on TLC's Moving Up. Prior to this, Meredith had been a nanny during the days she studied art at NYU. When she began to miss working with children, she sought her MA in Art Education. While teaching art Meredith continued to paint interior spaces for friends and family in her free time. After creating an entire space with her decorative painting skills for her first child, Stella, Meredith became passionate about creating unique children's spaces.

In creating interiors for children, Meredith interacts with both the parents and child to create a beautiful and functional space that reflects the personality of each child. As Meredith learned from her time in the classroom, a child's environment should be comforting, functional, safe, durable and stimulating. It should be one that is age specific, yet will grow easily with the child. Childhood is full of wonder and magic.
